Duck versus Dentist

It is a little-known fact that the noble tribe of the Duck and the unified Association of Dentistry are, as they have been for hundreds of years, mortal enemies. Their enmity can be only justly compared to that of the Ninjas and Pirates in its ferocity and longevity. Once, long ago, there was a simple reason for the mutual hatred between them. The ducks, being creatures of freedom, sought to fly upward. The dentists, being creatures of orderliness, sought to tunnel downward. Thus, whenever they came in contact, there was immediate conflict. In time, sadly, this opposition solidified into custom, like pink dental adhesive to a tooth. Now there is no peace between them, nor quarter given.

This is that nature of the battles between Dentist and Duck. The dentists, in an orderly line, approach the ducks bringing water picks and other tools of drilling and cleaning. The ducks, in a messy clump, fly at the dentists at high speed. The dentists attack vigorously, cleaning and trimming the ducks' beaks aggressively. In retaliation, the ducks flap at the dentists faces, driving them back with vigorous strokes.

Note that this only holds true for general-practice dentists. Veterinary dentists have long ago learned the secret of duck mind-control. It is considered the greatest price the general practitioner must pay to forgo the knowledge of that dark art.

But such is the way of the truest masters.
