Of Flying Fish

Flying fish are some of the more noted fish, remarked upon for their temerity in entering our sphere. They soar into the air - ever so briefly - and for it are noted nearly so much as the unnatural platypus! But what of other, potentially as fascinating creatures?

- THE FIRE-BREATHING MOOSE! Titanic and terrifying, it breathes gouts of flame when angered, scorching shrubbery and annihilating opponents. Local marmots have developed asbestos coatings, but little else survives.

- THE TUNNELING WHALE! Not only capable of soaring through watery depths, it tunnels through the very land, leaving vast holes for other seaborne creatures to inhabit, and undermining seashore structures. Hunted nearly to extinction in recent years.

- THE GIANT SPACE GERBIL! Soaring between the stars in a graceless twirling dance, the space gerbil is the bane of pirates and a blessing on honest wayfarers. Foes are gnawed to death with terrible terrible teeth.

I vote, contrary to hypothetical initial expectations, for the tunneling whale! Awesome.
